Roast Turkey and Homemade Stuffing Recipe

1 Whole Turkey
2 Bay Leaves
½ Onion - sliced
½ Orange - sliced
500g Margarine / Butter
Black Pepper Ground
Mixed Herbs - dried
Sage - dried
Chicken Spice
BBQ - Spice

Cooking Time: 2 hour 30 min
Serves: 6

Instructions:
You will need to calculate cooking time from your Turkey's weight - 25 minutes per 500g.
Wash Turkey with cold water then pat dry with a kitchen towel, including cavity.
Put the onions, orange slices and bay leaves inside the cavity.
Melt margarine or butter in saucepan then add all mixed herbs and spices and stir in well.
Line the bottom of roasting pan with tin foil and place Turkey in pan.
Pour half of the butter and herb mixture over Turkey - Make sure you rub all over entire
bird.
Put the Turkey in oven and cook for 20 minutes at 180 °C or until golden brown on top.
Remove the Turkey from oven and pour remaining mixture over it.
Turn oven down to 160 °C and cover the Turkey in pan with tin foil and seal well.
Cook for full time calculated at the start.
