Printed copies of the back and front sheets of the advent calendar (shown below)
Scissors
Glue / Gum
Felt Tip / Marker Pens
Thin card cut to size of advent calendar
Old Magazines / Catalogues / Christmas Cards
Instructions to make the Homemade Advent Calendar The instructions to make the Homemade Advent Calendar are as follows:
Print off the blank front and back pages of the advent calendar below.
Cut out various pictures from old magazines / Catalogues making sure the pictures fit inside the blank squares.
Stick pictures to all 25 of the blank squares on the back page of the advent calendar. You could write messages in each square if preferred.
Colour or customise the front of the calendar while the back of the calendar is drying.
Stick the front of the advent calendar to some thin card cut to the same size.
Cut out the advent doors on the front of the calendar. Using a sharp scissors (adult help required) carefully cut around three sides of each numbered door.
Glue around the edges of the calendar (front) and stick the front of the calendar to the back.
Leave to dry until the 1st December! Each day during December open the door corresponding to the day of the month.
