Materials required to make the Christmas Stockings The materials required to make the Christmas Stockings are as follows:
Red or Green Felt Cloth – Size depends on size of stocking required.
Ribbon
Decorations – Bells etc
White Faux Fur
Hole Punch
Wool
Needle.
Instructions to make the Christmas Stockings The instructions to make the Christmas Stockings are as follows:
Fold the felt cloth in half and draw the stocking shape.
Cut out the stocking shape from the cloth.
Stick decorations onto the front of the stocking.
Sew a rectangle of fur to the top of the stocking. (Adult help required)
Place the back and front of the stocking together and carefully punch holes around the side of the stocking. (Punched holes are not required for older children, they can sew carefully around the edge of the stocking.)
Thread wool through the holes carefully and tie knots at either end.
Attach a loop of ribbon to the top of the stocking so it can be hung for Santa to fill with goodies!
